I have always loved sharing about Mexican designers, but especially since last year, my goal is to always provide a Mexican option for every new trend I show you. My search is focused on looking for designers who are distinguished by their proposals, quality, and by having social actions to give back to the community. So keep reading this part 1 of my favorite designers that you have to know. (Unintentionally when I finished writing I realized that they are all women!)
Vero Diaz
Si quieren ver la entrevista que tuve con ella da click AQUIFrom the first Fashion weeks I attended, Vero Diaz was placed among my favorite designers because she manages to put her distinctive touch in each of her collections. A common thread that speaks of femininity, elegance and quality in each garment. She takes embroidery and handcrafts in a different, modern and fresh way. She has ready-to-wear collections and a Bridal line that have led her to gain recognition inside and outside of Mexico. Just a few weeks ago she was one of the 3 designers chosen to represent Mexico with her latest fall-winter 2021 collection “Nativa” at Fashion Week Russia. Get to know more of her amazing journey in this interview I had with her HERE
Carlotta Herrera
Si quieres conocerla mejor mira esta entrevistaI have the pleasure not only to meet Carlotta Herrera as an entrepreneur and designer but also to have her as a great friend. She is a woman who brings her energy and good vibes in everything she does. She founded Nirvana Beachwear, a brand inspired by the planet where most of her garments are made with recycled plastic lycra. Many of her proposals also include artisan work from various parts of Mexico. Her designs are modern and alternative but with a chic touch. One thing I really like about her collections is that many of her pieces (tops, kimonos, and skirts) are designed to be worn not only at the beach but on many more occasions.
