CLARINS EYE BROW PENCIL REVIEW AND TIPS ABOUT HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR EYEBROWS

Well-groomed eyebrows can do wonders to you! They help to frame the face, enhance your eye expression and your overall look. Today, I am reviewing this eyebrow pencil from Clarins. I must confess that I wasnt a big fan of eyebrow pencils as I preferred to fill up my eye brows with eye shadows instead. So having the opportunity to get to know this pensil by using it for a month, opened my mind about new products and ways of applying make-up.

Unas cejas bien arregladas pueden hacer maravillas por ti! ellas te enmarcan la cara, resaltan la expresión de tus ojos y tu look en general. Debo confesar que no era una fanática de los lápices de cejas porque prefería rellenarlas con sombra de ojos. Hoy estoy escribiendo mis observaciones sobre el lápiz de cejas de la marca Clarins. Tuve la oportunidad de usarlo por un mes, lo cual abrió mi mente acerca de nuevos productos y nuevas formas de aplicar el maquillaje.

As I consider my eyebrows an essential part of not only my face but of my personality, I have the habit of brushing them every morning and every night...I have this theory that the more you brush your eyebrows, the stronger they are thus the more beautiful they look. This is the brush that I used to do every day from Ten Image.

Como siempre he considerado mis cejas no sólo como parte esencial de mi cara sino también de mi personalidad, tengo el hábito de peinarlas todos los días en la mañana y en la noche... tengo esta teoría que mientras más las peine, mas fuertes serán sus pelos y más lindas se verán. I was really pleasantly surprised that Clarins Eyebrow Pencil is a dual ended pencil with a comb brush which is a brilliant idea! Basically my routine of taking care of my eyebrows starts with the following steps...

Me sorprendió de grata manera que el lápiz de Clarins sea duo, en un lado tiene cepillo y en el otro el lápiz lo cual me pareció una idea brillante! Básicamente mi rutina con la que cuido mis cejas empieza con los siguientes pasos...

- First of all, you will brush the eyebrows to give it form and see which pieces of hair are too long.

- Primero, peina tus cejas para darle forma y ver si tienes pelos muy largos

- Secondly, trim the strands of hair that are either too long or lie outside of the arch, remember to be gentle!

- Segundo, corta los pelos que veas muy largos o fuera del arco, recuerda hacerlo con cuidado!



- Thirdly, brush them again to remove any loose hair strands.

- Fourthly, use the Clarins Eyebrow Pencil end to fill up your eyebrows and define the shape. Despite the fact that I have black eyebrows, I complete this step with the Dark Brown 01 colour and it blended beautifully with my eyebrow, which made me think if I fill and define my eyebrows with a black colour will look too strong and unnatural.

- Cuarto, rellena tus cejas con el lápiz de Clarins para definirlas y darles forma. A pesar de tener cejas negras, completé este último paso con la referencia Dark Brown 01 y se combinó perfectamente con el color de mis cejas, lo que me hizo pensar que si lo hago con un lápiz negro, mis cejas se van a ver muy fuertes y poco naturales.


So what are my final thoughts on the Clarins Eyebrow Pencil? It is definitely a product that I am going to stick with! I love the dual comb function - brush and pencil. Furthermore, its ingredients include carnauba wax, vitamin E and micronized pigments for even color.

Cuál es mi opinión sobre este lápiz de Clarins? es definitivamente un producto que de ahora en adelante voy a tener siempre conmigo. Me encanta la función duo de lápiz y cepillo en uno solo. Dentro de sus ingredientes están la cera de carnabuba, vitamina E y pigmentos micronizados para un color parejo.

So here are my tips about how to take care of your eyebrows:
1. Say no to waxing! You should never use wax in the eye area. The skin around is very thin and sensitive and if waxed, can erode away at the skin surface and tear the nerves around the eyes, which in long term will make the skin looking loose and bad.
2. Say yes to threading or tweezing: find a beautician professionally trained in the art of threading as this will leave your eyebrows perfectly shaped and doesnt harm skin of your eye area. If you are not keen on threading, tweezing is your next best option. Just make sure that they are not too tweezer happy or the results could be over tweezed with an unfaltering shape.
3. If you arent confident doing your eyebrows by yourself then dont do it, better go and see someone who can do it for you. You can always clean up the area around but dont touch the frame, remember the eyebrows define your eye expression.
4. Don´t make them too thin or too bold: Keep the balance.
5. Fill them but dont over paint them! If you generally have thick eyebrows avoid filling eyebrows heavily with an eyebrow pencil on top or they could look more like a pair of hairy caterpillars! If you dont have hairy eyebrows, just giving them subtly definition, this will make you look natural to avoid the severe tattooed look.
6. Trim them once in a while, dont fall into the myth that once your eyebrow hair is cut, it won´t grow again.

Aquí te doy unos consejos sobre como cuidar tus cejas:
1.Di no a la cera! Nunca dejes que te depilen con cera las cejas. La piel de esta zona es muy delgada y sensible, si utilizas cera, esta puede arrancar la piel o inflamar los nervios que están alrededor de los ojos, lo cual a largo plazo, hará que la piel de esta zona se vea caída y de muy mala apariencia.
2. Di si a la depilación con hilo. Encuentra a una persona que esté entrenada profesionalmente en este arte, lo cual dejará tus cejas perfectamente hechas sin maltratar la zona de tus ojos. Si no estás a gusto con esta técnica, que alguien te las arregle con pinzas puede ser tu segunda opción. Cerciórate que no te depilen mucho el arco de la ceja para que no queden con una forma rara.
3. Si no te sientes segura de hacerte tu misma las cejas, no lo hagas! Siempre puedes limpiar un poco los alrededores con las pinzas pero no toques el marco, recuerda que tus cejas marcan la expresión de tus ojos.
4. Ni muy gruesas, ni muy delgadas: Mantén el balance
5. Rellénalas pero no las pintes mucho! si tienes cejas gruesas evita pintarlas mucho o te verás como si tuvieras dos gusanos peludos en tu cara. Si tus cejas son delgadas, sólo dales definición de manera muy sutil, esto las hará lucir natural y no como si tuvieras un par de tatuajes.
6. Córtales periódicamente, no caigas en el mito que dice que cuando las cortas no crecen más.
