I went to spend the weekend at Viña del Mar, it’s one of the most important cities in Chile located 1,5/2 hours away from Santiago and the main advantage here of course is the sea! Living in a capital city without sea I am always thankful for every time I get to see and spend some days next to the ocean even if I have to travel abroad to do so. So of course I was delighted, since my trip to Croatia almost half a year ago, that I last experienced the joy of breathing fresh sea breeze!

The climate is very average most of the year, lots of rain in winter but not very cold and a mild temperature in summer (not like hot Santiago) and the best part (at least for me) is that it tends to be very cloudy year round, specially in summer which is something I love. This changes the whole outfit system when compared to Santiago at the same time of the year. I have hardly worn pants there while in Viña almost everyday at least for the evening it’s the best option!

Now I only brought two pair of trousers and the ones you see me wearing are not one of them, and they are not new either…so I bet you are wondering, so where the hell do they come from? Well actually they are an old, and by old I mean VERY OLD pair of mine from 2006 I got at Topshop and that my mom had saved with the old clothes. While we were preparing to donate some of our old stuff to charity I came across this one, and I instantly recognized it! Originally it had another cut (remember skinny jeans from that era?) we are talking almost ten years ago, they were longer, less skinny, low cut and would bunch up at the ankle, a lot! When I tried these I loved everything about them, even the quality is far better than what you find now in the same store, but the one issue was the ankle area for me. Not very nice…so instead of doing what I usually do and that is have them hemmed is to cut them, for a different look. Studying fashion design I used to have a phase where I cut all my clothes to alter them so trust me I have the habit in me, and I was able to do this in a way that the look was just what I looked for. Now I can wear them all over again but with a totally different style. So my point is? Always consider giving your garments, basic ones specially a new life. There are always options and it is not as complicated as you might think!

This fall outfit is very “me” obviously they all are, but this one in particular includes all of my staples all of which have been with me for a long, long time. Probably the eldest of them is my footwear, I’ve had my Chanel flats for almost five years, my top and coat for over three years, sunglasses I can’t even remember how old they are and my bag and jeans are about one ...

Black and white: one of my favorite combinations for my last day in Santiago. It has been two amazing months, and i’m already counting the days to come back, which luckily for me is very soon! I hope I was able to show you not only what to wear in Santiago’s summer, but through Instagram all the great places the city I grew up in has to offer. I just arrived from Milan! I spent a week there to be my boyfriend’s side while he was sent there for work, and of course to do as much sightseeing, shopping and delicious dining as I could. There is nothing I like more than traveling and being able to really experience what a city is like, specially fashion wise. There is no discussion that Milan is one of the most stylish cities in the wor ...

As you can see i’m back in Madrid. I’m missing Santiago terribly, but i’m glad to be in winter clothes for a change. After a few months of the same season I kind of get tired of the same clothes and crave a change (except in fall or spring because of the unexpected factor). To start (I can’t believe this is my first winter outfit) I went with an all black outfit, and a very ...

So once again I am packed with pictures, and I personally don’y like to upload so many, but this time I couldn’t narrow my selection so this is it. I wore one of my favorite shoes my Valentino mid heel Tango. I usually wear them a lot for going out to dinner, dancing, events, etc. They are so comfortable and are a great height to look a little dressed up in pants, skirts or dresses, th ...

Nothing says in between weather like a trench coat. It’s the number garment I think of when spring comes to mind. It is one of those timeless classics that goes with anything you can think of and is always a good idea. I have worn mine so many times since I bought it I can’t even count. It was one of the best investments in regards to clothing I ever made. If you don’t have one I ...

Second post with one of my favorites, my beautiful cream MHL Margaret Howell dungarees. Even though this is the second post wearing them and the first was like ten months ago I do wear them a lot, mostly for traveling, specially in summer. I find dungarees to be an amazing travel garment. You can store all your stuff, passport, plane ticket, card holder, wallet, all in the front pocket so comforta ...
