El otro día aproveché que fui a Alcalá para acercarme al súper ecológico (a falta de un Wholefoods Market en España) y compré Polen de Abeja, pues hacía mucho tiempo que quería probarlo. E investigando descubro todas sus propiedades para la salud. Seguid leyendo y luego vais a comprarlo...
The other day, while I was in Alcala, I went to the eco supermarket (since theres no Wholefoods Market here yet) and bought Bee Polen, which I have been willing to try for a long time. Now Ive found that it has lots of benefits for our health. Keep reading to discover them.


Siempre he leído que el polen de abeja es bueno para épocas como el otoño, en las que nos encontramos más cansad@s y apáticos. Sin embargo, no sabía por qué. Y es que contiene gran cantidad de vitaminas, minerales y otros componentes que lo hacen perfecto para contribuir a nuestro bienestar.
Enzimas como la diastasa, amilasa, catalasa, o diaforasa, que forman las proteínas, están presentes en el polen de abeja, y ayudan por tanto en los procesos vitales del organismo. Vitaminas tales como la A, C, E, D, B1 y K y minerales como el sodio, el magnesio, el potasio, calcio, cobre, hierro y zinc (por nombrar sólo algunos) también se encuentran en este producto natural y nos ayudan a conservar un buen estado de salud. Por ejemplo, es un buen complemento para evitar la caída del cabello propia del otoño.
Por eso se dice que el polen ayuda a mantener el buen funcionamiento del metabolismo, a equilibrar el ph de la sangre y que además tiene propiedades antibacterianas. Contribuye al buen funcionamiento del hígado, y ayuda con los problemas de la menstruación y la menopausia por sus propiedades antiinflamatorias (de ahí que también se le asocie con una mejora de las vías respiratorias).
También es una fuente rápida de energía, por lo que facilita la concentración y la memoria.
En definitiva, el polen de abeja es toda una fuente de bienestar a nuestro alcance. Podéis comprarlo como yo, en cualquier supermercado ecológico o tienda de dietética (el bote de unos 300gr. me costó 6€ y pico), y tomar un par de cucharadas soperas cada día, preferiblemente por la mañana y añadiéndolo al zumo, a los cereales, a un batido... Tiene un sabor dulce y una textura blanda (y un poco pegajosa, por eso yo prefiero no masticarlo y ponerlo en el green smoothie), pero es muy agradable de tomar.
