Cold winter weather does not mean boring clothes and today I felt like playing with proportions. The weather is cold yes, really cold compared to being in summer a few weeks ago, but not as cold as the rest of Europe, so fortunately going out like this was no trouble at all.

Today I am wearing my new Isabel Marant “Dixon” skirt I got on the sales early January but could not get myself to wear it since it was shipped to my home in Spain. After waiting for over a month I was finally able to wear it, and man was I happy! I had dreamed with this skirt ever since I saw it HERE (third picture). Yes, it’s the same skirt from the add of course it longer on me than on the model but I kind of like it better that way. It is super comfy and a classic versatile piece to wear forever. I love how it makes a perfect figure, this type of skirt is fantastic because it suits every woman no matter her figure (if worn right). The only but would be I have to pull it up a little bit to walk normally, otherwise it becomes a “geisha skirt” as my boyfriend labeled it.

Besides my new skirt, i’m also wearing my new The Row sunnies and my old The Kooples parka for the first time in the blog. I don’t know why I had never really posted and outfit wearing it, I guess I don’t really wear it that often i’m more into coats. Anyhow it is a life saver for really cold days.

Even though I love the Rodeo Drive/Beverly Hills area, it’s not my favorite to hang out, but it is probably the best area to shop in L.A, Melrose is also amazing but let’s face it, you get all the amazing brands with the most complete stock in Barney’s, Saks and Nordstrom, and that you can’t get anywhere else, so of course I had to pay a visit! We were also at Jil Sander Na ...

Second day in a row without socks and now I have a cold. I don’t think it’s because of the socks really, its because I got used to summer after two months abroad, and now I am suffering the consequences, I also had jet lag for like a week, so really I should have seen it coming! This weekend is my birthday and I want to be able to celebrate Friday and Saturday so I must get well fast! ...

Another beautiful but so hot day in L.A! It feels like a full winter so far, I jump from good weather, to good weather, and as it may seem wonderful, i’m not prepared! I have so little summer clothes, I struggle. One of the things I have bought since I am here is the new t-shirt I am wearing in these pictures, a basic bright white, very light tee, perfect for this weather. I was in desperate ...

My second winter outfit, nothing fancy just a casual everyday outfit in navy, ecru and black accessories. I’m starting to enjoy the socks with sneakers thing, I don’t do it much, hardly ever, but now it’s becoming appealing to me, I don’t know exactly why. I’m wearing my new sunglasses by The Row, I ordered them a while back while I was in Chile but I just got to wear ...

I love these jeans, honestly best pair of in between jeans, as I call them. Not skinny, not boyfriend, more of a slim fit. The best part is the length, I usually have to have mine hemmed, but not this pair it fits just perfect straight from the store! Coming from a massive, nothing exclusive brand I did not expect to like them so much, but truly it beats most of my designer denim by far. It has th ...

So today I am wearing my new (relatively new, I got it early December just before my trip) leather skirt. I had waited YEARS, for this perfect leather skirt to exist. Before, a long time ago in my early blog days, I had a very similar one from Topshop that I wore to death, but after some years of use, it started to wear off pretty badly, even small wholes appeared. Of course leather does not mean ...

Another all black outfit with silver accents. This time i’m wearing heels for a change. I’ve had them for a long time but actually only worn them a few times, and I think it is the first time I am wearing them on an outfit I show on the blog. As you see we are having great weather here in Madrid, so really it’s not coat weather anymore, or at least for a while…we will see. ...

Some of my favorite denim garments ever made come from Stella McCartney’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection. I am lucky enough to own two garments from this collection, one of which is the skirt I am wearing here. Now this wonderful piece has been recreated many times, I first saw one last year by Topshop, and this year we have a very similar one by Alexa Chung for AG Denim collection. To be hon ...

Another beach outfit! I went to spend last weekend again to Viña. This is one of those outfits I ended up wearing by mistake. I was wearing the same from the waist up with denim shorts, but for a two hour drive shorts seemed rather uncomfortable so I decided to change, and first thing I saw was this skirt. After I put it on, I loved the outfit so much I decided to stay in it, and well…that&# ...
