3 Restaurantes en CDMX que tienes que conocer

La vida tiene que continuar con o sin pandemia (obvio con sus respectivos cuidados) y ahora que ya estamos retomando poco a poco las salidas, Bobs y yo hemos sido super selectivos con los restaurantes que visitamos tanto por la comida como por la experiencia en sí. Les comparto 3 restaurantes en CDMX que vale la pena conocer.

I share 3 restaurants in CDMX that are worth knowing.

Bosques Gourmet

No importa si hace mucho frío o calor, amo los lugares al aire libre. Si además me hacen sentir fuera del buzz de la ciudad mejor. Bosques Gourmet es justo esa mezcla. Se encuentra en la parte de atrás del hotel Presidente Intercontinental en polanco. El ambiente es relajado, rodead@ de árboles, buena música y por supuesto excelente servicio (plus es pet friendly)

Pero eso no es lo mejor…el menú es una mezcla de los platillos top de sus restaurantes Au Pied de Cochon, Chapulín, Alfredo di Roma, The Palm y Café Urbano. Todo en un mismo lugar. Te dejo fotos de lo que ordenamos pero un shout out a la deliciosa hamburguesa Jumbo (alamado platillo de The Palm) que, btw recomiendo desayunes ligero porque Bobs no se la pudo acabar. También wow al aguachile de New York a la parrilla, nunca había probado algo asi.

Quien me sigue de hace tiempo sabe que amo dos cosas en cuanto a bebidas: Aperol Spritz y Gin. Bueno, prepárense porque aquí tienen el Supreme Spritz, preparado con Tanqueray Ten, Aperol, St-Germain, Vino espumoso, toronja y albahaca. PUM! in love.

Es un restaurante pop up que nació a raiz de la pandemia, pero espero que se quede de forma fija porque de verdad es una belleza.

It doesn’t matter if it’s hot or cold, I love being outdoors. If they also make me feel away from the buzz of the city, even better. Bosques Gourmet is just that mix. It is located at the back of Presidente Intercontinental Hotel in Polanco. The atmosphere is relaxed, surrounded by trees, good music and of course excellent service (plus it is pet friendly)

But that’s not the best…the menu is a mix of top dishes from the hotel’s restaurants: Au Pied de Cochon, Chapulín, Alfredo di Roma, The Palm, and Café Urbano. All in the same place. Check out the photos of what we ordered, but a special shout out to the delicious Jumbo hamburger (a popular dish from The Palm Restaurant) which, btw I recommend having a light breakfast because it is super big – Bobs couldn’t finish it lol -. Also wow to the grilled New York aguachile, I had never tried anything like it.

Whoever has followed me for a long time knows that I love two things when it comes to drinks: Aperol Spritz and Gin. Well, get ready because here you have the Supreme Spritz, prepared with Tanqueray Ten, Aperol, St-Germain, sparkling wine, grapefruit and basil. BOOM! in love.

Bosques Gourmet was created as a pop-up restaurant as a result of the pandemic, but I hope it stays permanently because it is really a beauty.

Benihana

Si no habías tenido la oportunidad de visitar alguna de sus franquicias en otros países, ahora puedes conocerlo aquí. Se inauguró hace poco en Paseo Interlomas. Es un restaurante japonés que se caracteriza por la experiencia oriental, sus teppanyakis y el show que hacen los chefs a la hora de cocinar: malabares con los cuchillos, llamaradas de fuego y más.

Su nombre viene de la flor roja (benihana) que nace en Japón y su decoración con tonos rojos y negros denota la influencia asiatica. Definitivo tienen que probar el sake. De hecho, te recomiendo pidas la mitad de la jarra fria y la otra caliente para que disfrutes los diferentes sabores que despide el sake.

Al tener mesas super amplias por las planchas (hasta 7 personas por mesa) y un ambiente muy chill, se vuelve un restaurante idoneo si quieres ir en un plan familiar o a celebrar con amigos.

If you hadn’t had the opportunity to visit one of Benihana’s franchises in other countries, now you can meet them here. It was recently launched in Paseo Interlomas. It is a Japanese restaurant that is characterized by the oriental experience, its teppanyakis, and the show that the chefs put on when cooking: juggling with knives, flames of fire and more.

Its name comes from the red flower (benihana) that grows in Japan and its decoration with red and black tones denotes the Asian influence. You definitely have to try the sake. In fact, I recommend ordering half the jug cold and the other half hot so you can enjoy the different flavors the sake has to offer.

Having super wide tables (up to 7 people per table) and a very chill atmosphere, it becomes an ideal restaurant if you want to go as a family or to celebrate with friends.

La Buena Barra

Es probable que ya conozcas o hayas oído de este lugar porque tiene varios años (De hecho ahí fuimos cuando conocí a mis suegros ) pero sigue manteniéndose como una excelente opción si eres amante de los cortes de carne – aunque tienen otras opciones en el menú que mantienen el mismo nivel de sabor y calidad -. Entre semana es excelente para business meetings y casual drinks (ojo: si vas con niños no puedes estar en la terreza en estos dias) mientras que en fin de semana todo el restaurante se transforma a un ambiente más familiar. El servicio sigue siendo top

It is likely that you already know or have heard of this restaurant before because it has been for several years (In fact, we went there the first time when I met my in-laws ) but it continues to be an excellent option if you are a meat lover – although they have other options on the menu that maintain the same level of flavor and quality -. During the week it is excellent for business meetings and casual drinks (note: if you go with children you cannot be on the terrace those days) while on weekends the entire restaurant is transformed into a more familiar atmosphere. The service is still great.
