So last week, we had a very hot 28ºC day in the middle of fall, late fall (for those of you who don’t know I am currently in Santiago, Chile and it is fall here). Mornings are a little chilly so I went out with a jacket and as the day progressed and it became hot I took it off and did what I do when I need to keep my bag as empty as possible and that is tie my jacket on my waist. When we were taking pictures, I took my jacket off, I know tying stuff at the waist is trendy right now, and as you know I myself hate anything trendy, but also lets face it, it’s practical and we all do it or at least did it as kids. My intention was not to be photographed with my jacket tied at my waist, but the person I was with at the moment, suggested I take a few pictures with it tied at my waist and then just take it off. I though well why not, after all I am all about showing what I am naturally wearing, and I was naturally wearing my jacket tied, so I went for it. After seeing the pictures I kind of like it, it looks what it is: a practical solution for a given moment and not a misplaced kind of accessory (yes, I am talking about those plaid shirts tied at the waist when the person wearing them is also wearing another shirt as an actual shirt…who goes out like that?).

Today I am wearing my new trousers (not THAT new), that I got in L.A a few months ago. They were a garment that I was dying to add to my wardrobe since last summer. Wide, silk, flowy, light fabric, black pants are the best, most comfortable, most classic and versatile garment, oh!…and elegant too!…that you can wear during hot weather. I wanted trousers that would be actually suitable f ...

The more I use this jeans the more I love them, and the more I dig my idea of cutting them by myself in a way that the hem is now frayed. Re-inventing and old piece has to be one of my favorite things in clothes and one of my favorite assets of classic designs. Never in my life had it crossed my mind I would be able to recycle a pair of Topshop jeans from nine years ago. To their defense I have to ...

Another monochrome…almost monochrome outfit. At this point you can clearly see how much I love charcoal grey, all grey in general, but I have collected a big number of garments in this particular shade and keep them coming! It’s a great alternative to black and works just the same, so why not? Ecru sneakers to finish this outfit seem the best option because, well…I love them! And ...

So this is basically what happens when you are in early spring stages and travel to early fall, you still have that cold fear factor you carry from winter and you can’t get rid off until late…very late spring. I went out like this thinking if it is good for spring it will be good for fall as well…right? Well guess what? I was completely wrong! It was perfectly fine for the early ...

I don’t know if you noticed but I’m not in Madrid anymore I have arrived in Santiago, Chile. Once again I change continents for a while. It’s actually fall here but it’s much hotter than in Madrid. At the end though the temperature and climate is pretty much the same in fall and spring, it’s only a psychological thing that people gravitate toward floral colors in spri ...

My number one fashion resolution for this year is to wear more heels. Even if I don’t own as half many heels as flat shoes I am well aware of how elegant and classy they are, and how the suit every single woman. My main concern all this time has been comfort, but after spending a whole weekend in heels (I attended a wedding) I realized that by wearing a good pair of heels, and wearing me the ...

I’m addicted to midi skirts, so far I’ve been a mini skirt girl but now I’m including as much midi skirts to my collection as I can. This skirt I got it last year at Croatia at the MaxMara store in Dubrovnik. It has been such a great addition to my wardrobe, I can’t believe I was hesitant at first. I was looking for something in black but at the end I decided to go for it, ...

A classic garment that I consider a must for spring and all year round really, (but I end up wearing more in spring) is a striped shirt. It is a core item everyone has in their closet and that allows one thousand different ways of wearing. I have a few, and keep them coming, because they just compliment so well any pair of pants, jeans or skirt. Today I am just wearing my striped shirt with one of ...

Wearing another denim comfortable, casual outfit. This time with exception of the bag it’s a monochrome charcoal ensemble. I really didn’t see it until now, it was one of my express outfits, so I went with whatever I could find first and this was it. ———————————————————R ...

A good old midi skirt I keep close to my heart is this navy one by COS. It is so simple and so wearable that one could never get tired of it. For spring or fall a good alternative is to wear it with a sweatshirt and some slip-ons for an easy and comfortable outfit. I have worn this skirt with basically anything but this has to be my favorite way or wearing it yet. What do you think? What is your f ...
