Paris Fashion Week – Lo que debes saber

19 desfiles, 20 presentaciones físicas y 45 eventos digitales mostraron las colecciones de Primavera Verano 2021 en Paris Fashion Week. Con esto se cierra uno de los meses de la moda más diferentes que hemos visto.

19 fashion shows, 20 physical presentations and 45 digital events showcased the Spring Summer 2021 collections at Paris Fashion Week. This closes one of the most different fashion months we have seen.

Dior

Tras un escenario con inspiración gótica e imponentes voces del coro Sequenza 9.3 Maria Grazia Chiuri reinterpreta la silueta de Dior desde una nueva perspectiva, a pensar menos en cómo se ve la ropa y más en cómo nos hace sentir. Prendas poco ceñidas al cuerpo que se adaptan a una mujer actual cómoda y creativa

Me encantó que puedes ver la presencia de diversas culturas en los textiles, rindiendo homenaje a la historia de los mismos. Patchworks con motivos florales, encaje y vestidos vaporosos complementados con joyas, diademas y bolsas en tonalidades similares. Amé el maquillaje enfocado en los ojos, un mensaje fuerte pero simple a la vez.

Behind a gothic-inspired stage and imposing voices from the Sequenza 9.3 choir, Maria Grazia Chiuri reinterprets the Dior silhouette from a new perspective, to think less about how clothes look and more about how it makes us feel. Garments loosely fitted to the body that adapt to a modern, comfortable and creative woman I loved that you can see the presence of diverse cultures in textiles, paying homage to their history. Patchworks with floral motifs, lace and flowing dresses complemented by jewels, headbands and bags in similar hues. I loved the eye-focused makeup, a strong but simple message at the same time.

Chanel

Siempre que se presenta el show de Chanel quedo super inspirada, imaginando cómo será el momento en que entre al Grand Palais a ver mi primer show en vivo.

Virgine Viard recrea el panel de Hollywood con letras de Chanel. Su colección destacó por ser fresca y vibrante. Pantalones de mezclilla de colores, tweed ultra-delgado para la temporada, muchísimos accesorios como la nueva mini bag colgada del cinturón y vestidos de flores llenaron la pasarela.

Whenever the Chanel show is presented, I am super inspired, imagining what it will be like when I enter the Grand Palais to see my first show. Virgine Viard recreates the Hollywood panel with huge Chanel letters. His collection stood out for being fresh and vibrant. Colorful jeans, ultra-thin tweed for the season, tons of accessories like the new mini bag hanging from the belt and flowy dresses filled the runway.

Louis Vuitton

Ghesquière muestra su colección en un spot increíble no solo por el arte y su techo abovedado sino por toda la tecnología involucrada. Entre pantallas verdes y proyectores, los modelos caminaban mostrando looks con inspiración en una moda no binaria, es decir, sin genero. Piezas con muchos toques metálicos y propuestas oversized. No puedo dejar de mencionar las bolsas que incluyeron nuevos diseños así como otros modelos icónicos reinterpretados.

Ghesquière displays his collection in an incredible spot not only for its art and vaulted ceiling, but for all the technology involved. Between green screens and projectors, the models walked showing looks inspired by a non-binary fashion, that is, without gender. Pieces with many metallic touches and oversized proposals. Of course I wont forget to mention the bags that included new designs as well as other iconic models reinterpreted.

Hermès

Una colección que a primera vista se muestra sobria y con líneas simples pero al mismo tiempo con un aire sensual por sus escotes pronunciados en la espalda y con tejidos que se dibujan en el cuerpo y se funden con la silueta. Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski propone una colección que enaltece la figura sin restringirla.

A collection that at first glance appears sober and with simple lines but at the same time has a sensual feeling due to its pronounced necklines at the back and fabrics that are drawn on the body blending in with the silhouette. Balmain

Olivier Rousteing lo vuelve a hacer. Sorprender con una pasarela diferente. Un mix entre presencial y virtual con pantallas frente a la pasarela en primera fila que mostraron a Anna Wintour, Cara Delevinge , etc. Festejando los 75 años de la marca.

No saben lo mucho que me gustó la colección. Un mix con colores neón, grises y muchas prendas con brillos. Hombreras marcadas, pantalones ceñidos y long shorts tanto de mezclilla como de vestir fueron algunas de las propuestas que seguro estaremos viendo el próximo año.

Olivier Rousteing does it again; surprise¡ing us with a different show. A mix between face-to-face and virtual show with screens in front of the catwalk as first row that showed Anna Wintour, Cara Delevinge, etc. Celebrating 75 years of the brand. You can´t imagine how much I liked the collection. A mix of neon colors, grays and lots of shiny garments. Big shoulder pads, tight pants and long shorts, both denim and casual ones, were some of the proposals that we will surely be seeing next year.

Balenciaga

Justo hace una semana fue el congreso de Cristobal Balenciaga. Me encantó ver la evolución de la marca, expecialmente esta colección donde varias piezas estaban hechas de retazos de materiales. Faldas y chamarras hechas con trozos de botas antiguas, vestidos creados con varias telas y hasta una recreación del icónico vestido de red de pescador que Cristóbal Balenciaga diseñó pero esta vez hecho con redes de baloncesto.

Just a week ago there was a congress of Cristobal Balenciaga. I loved seeing the evolution of the brand, especially this collection where several pieces were made from material scraps. Skirts and jackets made with pieces of old boots, dresses created with various fabrics and even a recreation of the iconic fishermans red dress that Cristóbal Balenciaga designed but this time made with basketball nets.
