Hoy existen varias entidades que certifican que las marcas efectivamente no hagan pruebas no solo en sus procesos de formulación sino en ingredientes que obtengan de otros proveedores.

Cómo identificar un Producto Cruelty Free?
Hoy hay 5 ONGs oficiales que pueden hacer esta certificación: Cruelty Free Internacional, Leaping Bunny Program, Choose Cruelty free, PETA y Te protejo en México. Para identificar cuáles productos son libres de crueldad animal hay que buscar que el empaque tenga alguno de los sellos que estas ONGs brindan o de lo contrario que aparezcan en el listado de alguna de sus páginas.How can you identify a cruelty-free product? Today there are 5 official NGOs that can make this certification: Cruelty-Free International, Leaping Bunny Program, Choose Cruelty-free, PETA, and Te Protejo in Latinamerica. You can identify a cruelty-free product if it has any of the official seals in its packaging or if it appears in the list of any of these pages.
Si no se prueba en animales, entonces cómo se prueban los productos?
Existen alrededor de 40 tests que no necesitan el uso de animales. Las alternativas más comúnes son tejidos humanos donados por voluntarios, cultivos celulares, modelos informáticos con experimentos virtuales y estudios directos con voluntarios. De hecho se ha comprobado que varias de estas pruebas han generado mejores resultados y más exactos.So if there is no animal testing, how can they assure products are safe? There are about 40 tests that do not require the use of animals. The most common alternatives are human tissues donated by volunteers, cell cultures, computer models with virtual experiments, and direct studies with volunteers. In fact, several of these tests have shown better and more accurate results.
Cómo puedes apoyar?
En México, en marzo de 2020 el Senado de la República aprobó de forma unánime el proyecto de ley que busca prohibir las pruebas cosméticas en animales y ahora pasará a la Cámara de Diputados, puedes apoyar firmando la petición AQUI y lograr que México sea el primer país de América del norte en prohibir las pruebas cosméticas en animales.In Mexico, in March 2020 the Senate of the Republic unanimously approved the law project that seeks to prohibit cosmetic tests on animals and will now go to the Chamber of Deputies. You can support by signing the petition HERE and make Mexico the first North American country to ban cosmetic tests on animals.
