Hijo pródigo de la firma francesa, Hedi Slimane ha sabido hacer suyo el concepto que Yves Saint Laurent infundió en su propia firma hasta su retirada en 2002, incluyendo cómo no, algunas dosis de toques rockeros capaces de trasladar a uno a la década de los setenta, hechos que se han vuelto notorios en su campaña Primavera/Verano 2013 de la renombrada firma, Saint Laurent.
Con Saskia de Brauw al frente de la campaña masculina y con Julia Nobis y Edie Campbell defendiendo la femenina, Hedi ha vuelto a enmarcar el aire rebelde y quizá un poco atormentado que ha caracterizado sus creaciones durante toda su carrera, tanto como diseñador como tras la cámara.
Y es en medio de este universo Slimane-Saint Laurent es donde la chaqueta metálica hace su aparición, una joya que sin duda, brilla con luz propia.
