DAY AT THE VAN GAALEN CHEESE FARM

Hello! Sometimes you might feel like me who is always looking for different places to go during the weekend. I recently discovered Vann Gaalen Cheese Farm. Located just 50 min drive from Johannesburg, this place has become one of my favorite spots to visit in the countryside.

Vann Gaalen has a restaurant with a beautiful view to a little dam and the majestics Magaliesburg montains.





During our visit, we ordered a picnic basket and wine, that you have to book in advance. We really loved this place and its atmosphere.




Our kids had a blast. They were running freely in the fields and spotting and playing with all the different farm animals.











My Brazilian Friend Ligia who was visiting me for the weekend, also loved this place.






We didnt have time to see the trails but I heard this place is amazing for trekking and mountain biking. I definitely recommend you to visit the cheese farm, these pictures say it all. And because we would love to do trekking, we have an excuse to come back :)
