It has been Antoines dream since a long time ago and there a re moments that you have to make some risk in your life...we realize that it was now or never. It was the perfect moment.
We have been here already for a month, we arrived the 7th octobre and even if we were conscious that this will be a big change in our life, now I can say , THIS IS A REAL ADVENTURE!!!
Hola! Como ya sabéis después de nuestra boda y el fantástico viaje de novios por Indonesia llegamos a tierras Caribeñas para instalarnos durante una temporada en la Isa de Guadalupe.
Ha sido el sueño de Antoine desde hace mucho tiempo y hay momentos en los que hay que dar el salto... nos dimos cuenta que si no lo hacíamos ahora no lo haríamos nunca. Era el momento idoneo.
Hace ya un mes que estamos aquí, llegamos el 7 de octubre y aunque sabíamos que esto sería u cambio muy grande en nuestra vida ahora puedo deciros con certeza, ESTO ES UNA AUTENTICA AVENTURA!!
I can recognize, just between us,that the first week was a real shock, is not the same thing going on holiday to the Caribbean than going to live there, and as I tell my parents, this is not just Coconuts and beaches, even if it looks like.
La verdad es que no tiene nada que ver con todo lo que habíamos visto o vivido hasta ahora.
Reconozco que la primera semana fue un autentico shock, no es lo mismo irte de vacaciones al caribe que ir a vivir al caribe, y como le digo a mis padres, esto no es solo cocos y playa aunque lo parezca.
On the other hand the Grand Terre is the most turistique part , were you van find all the restaurants, big hotels, internatiuonal shops, of course we can not have everything on one side.
La isla de Guadalupe tiene forma de mariposa y se divide en Grand Terre y Basse Terre, nosotros estamos vivimos en Basse Terre es la zona volcánica de la isla, la más salvaje (en todos los sentidos) y donde hay los paisajes más impresionantes.
Por otra parte la Grand Terre es la zona más explotada turísticamente, pero también donde hay más ambiente y más vida(como yo digo), claro no se puede tener todo en un lado.
Los fines de semana que Antoine no trabaja la verdad es que lo pasamos en grande, aprovechamos para visitar la isla al máximo hay muchísmo que ver y que hacer. Entre semana... es otra historia...
From Monday I will tell you all about our experience here, so you can have an idea how is like to live on the Caribbean apart from the nices pictures, the dreamed beaches and spend you time in bikini, that is the first thing you think when someone say "Im living on the Caribbean", but I can assure you, there is muuuuuch more than that.
